Hotels and More in Dubrovnik
Not something special at Split, there are of course much nicer sights to visit in Croatia. Split is a nice seaside city with really nice beachs and national parks etc but its a little bit more expensive than i expected.
Also in my first week i encountered some racists, in my second week my backpack has stolen at the beach fortunately i catch the thief myself and get my backpack. Many bars and clubs are closing around 12 pm - 1 am during weekdays. We loved our small hotel. Perfectly located, right in the heart of the old city. We could walk to everything, also easy walk to the ferry.
Our room was very nice, fabulous bathroom, roof top area for sitting and breakfast. Room was clean, very modern and very comfortable. You do have to cling 4 flights of stairs, no issue for us,our hostess was there to assist if we needed it. Arranged for a wonderful local man to pick us up, he knew all about the city, she sent us to a great family owned restaurants away from the tourist district.
Recommended several things that we did.. It is not a large area and is eminently walkable. That being said it can be easy to get lost initially. The street is year old limestone block which is worn to a glassy smooth finish and can be slippery, especially if it is wet. Take this into consideration if you have mobility or balance issues.
There are plenty places to eat and shop. A nice place to eat is to find a restaurant on the promenade by the water. But with a lot of cool architectural detail, and that is where the beauty is. We went in late September and it was jammed with tourists, I can only imagine how crowded it must be in June and July A tip for those considering an apartment rather than hotel: As the palace area is UNESCO, your apartment may not have an elevator and you will have to cart your luggage up several flights.
Think 18 to 20 steep steps per flight. So pack no more than you can carry. Our room was 50 steps up for example, a little more exercise than we were looking for. Great beginning for our trip to Medjugorje! This was one of my favorite stays , Zoran made sure that he has it it in his apartment , very charming and centraly located apartment.
You have everything beside you , a supermket , cafes , bakeries , restaurant , etc and all the major tour excursion companies You would definitely stay at apartment Roman heritage for my next stay in split. The location is great. The train station, port, beaches, and city centre are reachable within less than 10 minutes.
The room is nice decorated, modern, comfy bed, and very clean. Our ship from Italy arrive at 7 am in Split harbour and as we arrive in the hotel, they provide us early check-in and offer breakfast. The staffs hospitality make us feel very comfortable.
They also provides various and good breakfast. Really love this hotel and we definitely recommend this hotel! We booked one night in Split before our flight the next day. In our short stay Goran our host made contact with us to arrange an easy arrival. Offered help to carry our luggage and arrange for our transport to the airport the next day.
He was willing to share visitor tips on the town, but we felt we knew it as this is were our wonderful Croatia adventure began 3 weeks before. Apartment was beautiful, comfortable and everything the pictures showed! It has all you need!! Tony was waiting for us to show us the location and the apartment! He answered to all our questions, he was replying to our messages!
The day of our departure our flight got cancelled and he helped us find a place to stay! Much appreciated for all the help! Very recommend, his apartment in Split-Croatia!!! Rooms in a house in lovely old part of Split. We had an outdoor seating area and it was nice to be close to the city centre but in a peaceful location.
Could hear other guests moving around, so keep earplugs at hand. Price quite high for a basic room, compared to other places we stayed in Croatia, but I think this is because Split is so popular. The Apartment was excellent. Modern in style and spacious. The location was excellent to the old town and handy to amenities. Ivana has proven to be the friendliest person we have met while in Croatia. As the land lady of the apartment she went above and beyond our expectations. A simply wonderful lady.
We hope to visit Split in the future and stay with Ivana once more. The location is the best in town. Minor changes can improve. I won't go back until bed bugs are handled. The lady seems stand-offish but, she's Damlmation typical grandma. I like her a lot. Her family is cool. If u want to get a feel of Croatian family on Dalmatian Coast it's good hostel for that. The property is lovely and clean inside, the host is the nicest person we've met in Croatia, he will go out of his way to help you.
He gave us a lot of great and useful information and provided a free shuttle. He even gave us a small gift on departure. The apartment is a short min walk to the old town.
There is a supermarket right outside. Blansa is a very friendly, generous host with a lovely apartment! The place is spacious and very well situated in the Old City of Split.
Bed was comfortable and the little balcony is a fun extra, with a very unique view of the city. Blansa left juice, some Croatian liquor and cookies as well, which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend staying here! The centralized location, accommodations, and friendly staff were more than I could ever ask for as a traveller and guest at OTH. It's a place where you can forget about where you come from because you So readily feel at home, always surrounded by your friends.
It is a good location because it is close to the old town, harbour and bus to the airport. Although the road was busy the double glazing cut out the noise, except when Croatia beat Russia to go to the World Cup final. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The room was modern and although compact had everything to make a short stay comfortable.
Modern, clean, and characterful property with beautiful Croatian charm. Peaceful location, approx 10min walk to the old town. Ines was amazing and so very helpful and informative of the area and restaurants etc-made us feel so very welcome and looked after when we needed it. We loved our stay here! The room was very modern and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Our favourite feature of the room was that it had Netflix on the tv!
We would definitely stay here again, it was the best place we stayed at in Croatia! Loved it, best stay in our 10days in Croatia. Absolutely beautiful apartment, with everything you need. Perfectly placed in Split - 5 minute walk from the centre but in a quite residential location in the old town. Definitely one of the best apartments we stayed in all of Croatia. Very modern, spacious and charming, with a restaurant and a boutique. Very convenient location, close to the Old Town city centre and the port.
Lovely, friendly and very helpful hosts! The lady is so great and she even provided us a bottle of wine and a few beers. The apartment is spacious and clean. The best place during our entire week in Croatia. Hosts are very kind and helpful! The apartment is pretty good and the balcony awesome to relax and enjoy Croatia nice weather! Thanks Toni for Everything! The situation next to old town and the building in a typical Croatian house. Accommodation and staff were great. Next time I would just stay in Old Town instead of catching the bus there in the morning. Especially if I were kayaking part of the day or something where it'd be great to have easy access to my room.
Everything happens from Old Town. Old town is always a full which makes it difficult. Go at the end of the day. Walk around it and up the street to see more of it from above. This is a unique place. I chose early October in order to avoid a total crush. However, even in the first week of October, there are still loads and loads of tourists.
Not so much that you can't get restaurant tables or access the sites easily - but I suspect between April and mid-September, it must be really mobbed. I was lucky with the weather so I'd recommend going out of high Summer. Temperature is probably better than anyway. Beautiful building, very quirky clean and modern. Fab shower with 3 settings, Netflix, fridge, amazing views from room 5.
Situated in old town Dubrovnik- close to main areas of interest. Quiet area, very picturesque. We were able to check in earlier also, which made it easier to dump our back packs and make the most of the day: Would recommend this hotel: Idyllic setting set in cliff side overlooking beautiful views across the sea. Very comfortable hotel, modern furnished rooms. We had 2 interconnecting rooms which were ideal for a family.
Staff at all levels were very friendly but not in an overbearing way. The walk from the hotel to the Old Town is 20 minutes with some of the most beautiful scenery along the way. Facilities at the pool and generally around the hotel were in keeping with its 5 star rating.
The Apartment is very complete with all you need for a long Stay with free parking. It is provided with air conditioning, confortable beds and 2 sofa beds.
She also offered us some summer Dubrovnik fruits. We got dazzled with the owner kindness. We felt like home! I strongly recommend to everyone. It's better than a hotel. The location is great, you can park the car in front of hotel and the bus station just 3 mins walk. It's the best way to go to Dubrovnik old town.
The traffic and parking is crazy there. Also there is a craft beer factory and big super market near by the kitchen facility is good. You can prepare your food. The price of restaurant in Dubrovnik is crazy comparing with other towns in Croatia.
The best location in Dubrovnik old town, less than 5 minutes walk from Stradun the main street. The apartment is very modern and clean, good air conditioner for the summer and kitchen. The host, Petar, was really kind and helpful with us, he recommended us what to visit, and he even walked us to the supermarket because we were lost.
I would definitely recommend this place! Owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. The owners homemade liquor is delicious! Dubrovnik is a very touristy expensive town and you will not find any other place that gives you the bang for the buck and convenient location.
The location is walkable between the bus station and old town and Airport Shuttle stop at Grawe building. Everything was new and tidy. The pool is quite cool and there are good and cheap restaurants about steps down the hotel. Do not forget anything ;. The Beach is also very nice and has more space than other beaches on Dubrovnik.
To get to the old Town you have to take a bus which takes about 10 minutes and 2 euros. The location is great, really near the old town pile gate approx 1.
The view is wonderful, it has one big balcony really nice one. Good value for the location and facility. We had the best stay here and would return in a heartbeat! The hotel is perfectly located, with easy access to everything in the Old Town. Thank you for everything-we loved our stay in Dubrovnik! This has to be the best hotel in Dubrovnik. All the facilities are 5 star.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. The boat that takes you to the old town is a great extra. We can not recommend this property enough. The hotel had everything you'd expect a 5 star hotel to offer including a great location and excellent service.
It's historical building adds to the overall feeling of luxury. It was right on the beach. The bus stop to get into Dubrovnik old town was right outside hotel. Perfect for our 3 day stay. Clean Hotel with easy access to whole Dubrovnik. Comfortable beds, in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik, the showers were the best. Breakfast is rich and have food for all tastes and diets. Room was very clean. Pools are very clean. It is a great place where to stay! I will definitely come back here again!
For transfer just take a taxi at the airport. It will cost about kuna. No need to reserve transfers in advance, it will cost you more. The beds where extremely comfortable and our room had a lovely view. Both the restaurant and bar area have beautiful views and they cater to every request you make without fail. The next morning, the buffet breakfast was delicious with many different options to choose from. Management involvement and friendliness from the staff exceeded expectations.
Spent a romantic weekend at the hotel. All l can say everything was fantastic well worth the money. Staff, breakfast and ambiance. Big plus just a short walk to the walled city. Enjoy magical Adriatic sunsets from the balcony of your luxury room. We have more than 70 million property reviews, and they're all from real, verified guests.
